Data Transformer

Data Transformer

Purpose

The Data Transformer allows the user to transform data into another format. For example, columns can be removed, reordered or renamed.
It is possible to export the data, the product properties and the question/attribute properties.

Options

There are three main options tabs. These are for the data sheet, product sheet, attribute sheet.

Data sheet options

The user can select if the results should be split on judge, attribute, product, session or not at all. NA columns can be removed, or the NA values can be replaced with any other value or text. Product information can be included. If any product related columns need to be removed, this can be done in the 'Product Sheet options'. The queries can be based on References (e.g. Q1, Q2, Q3) or based on the real name (the actual attribute name). This option will decide which format needs to be used in the following fields.
  1. Columns to be removed:
    1. The user can add the references or real names of the columns that need to be removed
    2. If you have enabled the option 'Include Product Information' and product related columns need to be removed, the user has to include this in the 'Product Sheet options'.
  2. Alternative Starting Order of Columns:
    1. When the user wants the results table to start with a specific order of columns, please indicate the references or real names separated by a comma. E.g. Product, Judge --> The results table will start with the columns Product and Judge, followed by the remaining columns.
    2. When ending with ,! only the columns before ,! will be shown in the results table. E.g. Product, Judge, Sweetness,! will result in a table with only the columns Product, Judge and Sweetness
    3. An asterisk (*) can be used to select specific attributes.
    4. Select attributes based on the question name starting with a specific text. Bitter* will select all attributes that start with bitter, e.g. Bitterness but also Bitterness Aftertaste.
    5. Select attributes based on the question name ending with a specific text. *Aftertaste will select all attributes that end with Aftertaste, e.g. Bitterness Aftertaste but also Sweetness Aftertaste.
    6. Select attributes that contain a specific text. *Liking* will select all attributes that contain the text Liking, e.g. Overall Liking Intensity
  3. Columns to be renamed: The user can rename columns. For example Product=Sample will rename the column Product to Sample.

Additional sheet options

The same applies to the Product Sheet options, the Question/Attribute Options, Session options & Project options.
