EyeOpenR Insight | Exports

Introduction

EyeOpenR Insight offers a range of methods for exporting your data from exporting individual chats, to exporting your entire dashboard to PowerPoint or Excel. Below is a list of the various export options available:

  • Export your ‘Raw Dataset’ to Microsoft Excel

    • Dataset for a single widget (i.e. with global or widget level filters applied)

    • Dataset for the entire board (i.e. the original dataset)

  • Export Individual Charts from your Widgets

  • Export your results to Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Powerpoint

    • Export results from all widgets on your board to Powerpoint or Excel

    • Export results from a single widget to Powerpoint or Excel

  • Export an ‘Interactive’ version of your Dashboard to save or share

  • Print your Dashboard as a pdf

Below are more detailed descriptions of each of the various export functions listed above and how to use them in EO Insight.

Export your original ‘Raw Dataset’ to Excel

Below are the instructions for downloading as an Excel file (.xlsx) the original dataset (excl. Global Filters) available to EO Insight used to build your board:

Step 1: Open the ‘Export’ sidebar

Step 2 & 3: Click the ‘Download Dataset’ button in the ‘Download Current Dataset’ section

Export the ‘Raw Dataset’ available to a specific widget to Excel

Below are the instructions for downloading as an Excel file (.xlsx) the dataset available to a given widget on your EO Insight board (incl. Widget Filters):

Step 1: Click to reveal the widget drop down menu in the top right corner of the widget and select ‘Downloads’ from the list of options:

Step 2: Select the ‘Download Data’ option on the ‘Widget Downloads’ tab:

Export a Chart from a Widget on your Board

Below are the instructions for downloading a chart as an image file (.png) from a widget on your EO Insight board:

Step 1: Hover your mouse over the chart you wish to export

Step 2: The interactive chart buttons should appear in the top right corner of the chart panel. Click the ‘camera’ icon to initiate the download of the chart as an image.

Export all results from your Board to Excel or PowerPoint

Below are the instructions for downloading all of the results displayed on your board to Excel (.xlsx) or Powerpoint (.pptx):

Step 1: Open the ‘Export’ sidebar

Step 2 & 3: Click the ‘Download All Results’ option to reveal the download options. Click either the ‘Export [.xlsx]’ button to export to Excel or ‘Export [.pptx]’ to export to PowerPoint.

Export all results from a single Widget to Excel or PowerPoint

Below are the instructions for downloading the results from a single widget to Excel or Powerpoint:

Step 1: Click to reveal the widget drop down menu in the top right corner of the widget and select ‘Downloads’ from the list of options:

Step 2: Click either the ‘Download Results [.xlsx]’ button to export to Excel or ‘Download Results [.pptx]’ to export to PowerPoint.

Export an ‘interactive’ version of your Board to share with others

Below are the instructions for generating a ‘interactive  version of your board which can be stored and/or shared with others as an html file. The file captures your board as it looks the moment you click the ‘Export as Web Page’ button. Charts stay interactive and tables can be paged, searched and re-sized, but the data is frozen and widget settings cannot be changed. 

Important Additional Information

  • Only tabs you have already viewed are included. A widget or group tab you have never opened has not been generated yet, so please first open/click on the tabs you want to share before exporting.

  • Very large tables travel as a first-page preview rather than in full; the file says so above any table this applies to. Should you wish to export the entire table please use the ‘Download Results [.xlsx]’ function.

  • HTML files can be viewed using most web browsers (e.g. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc)

Step 1: Open the ‘Export’ sidebar

Step 2: In the ‘Export Dashboard’ section choose ‘Export as Web Page’.

Below are the instructions for printing your board as a pdf. Please also consider generating the HTML file (Export as web page function described above), you can then also use your web browser's print function to generate a pdf from the html file. 

Step 1: Click the ‘printer’ icon in the top right corner of EO Insight:

Step 2: In the ‘Printing Options’, choose ‘Save as PDF' and adjust the ‘Layout’, ‘Paper size’ & ‘Scale’ to arrange your board on the page as you require. (‘Printing Options’ will vary depending on your web browser, below are the options available in Google Chrome):
