Please note: dynamic panels are included in the professional and corporate pricing models whereas categories are available for all the pricing models.
In order to create a dynamic panel, a user first needs
to collect the category data and then use it as a filter. For instance: to
create a panel that is not allergic to lactose, the user first needs to create a category
Select panel management from the main ribbon then
click on categories>list
Click on + icon to create a category.
Specify the category identifier (which should be unique), name and type. At the moment a user can only create one choice categories.
In order to add more details click on the edit icon.
Add the details for the following fields:
Name: the name of the category
Description: the description of the category
Data Sensitivity: specify if this category contains personal, medical or financial data
Status: the current status of
Add the category items by clicking on + icon.
Once all the details have been added then change the
status of category to active.
Please note once the category is activated then it
cannot be altered. But it is possible to disable the item if you do not intend
to collect data for that item.
A user can group similar categories by creating groups
(panel management> categories>groups)
All the category groups will be visible at the bottom
of category edit page. In order to add the category to the group click on the
In order to collect data for the categories, add it to
a questionnaire by clicking on EyeQuestion categories under the add questions.
To save the category data of panelist it is important a panelist
answers the questionnaire using their logins.
After the data collection, create dynamic panel by clicking
on the panel management>panels.
Select dynamic panel.
In order to filter the panel add the category and
click on + icon
After you add the filter then EyeQuestion will show
the panelists who qualify the criteria. For example: the screenshot below is of the dynamic panel with panelists who are not allergic to lactose.
Additionally, You can also filter the panel based on the user fields
such as age, gender.
Once the dynamic panel is created it can be added to
the questionnaire under panel>load from panel
Select the panel from the list.
