How to Handle Data Sensitivity

How to Handle Data Sensitivity

Introduction

Data sensitivity refers to protecting the personal, medical or financial data by restricting the access of such information to only authorized users. It also includes scrambling (anonymizing) sensitive data after a panellist is removed from the panel database.

In EyeQuestion it is possible to flag questions as sensitive. There are three types of sensitivity: PII (Personal identifiable Information), Medical and Financial. The user can select the one that is applicable to that question. The main idea of all three sensitivities is the same, which is to scramble the sensitive data if someone doesn't have the right to view the results.

How To Flag Sensitive Questions In The Questionnaire?

In order to flag sensitive question, click on the question and then click on the sensitivity dropdown on the right.

After the panellist has answered the questionnaire and a user with Test Designer Profile downloads the data, then the data will be scrambled as shown below for Q1. But a Project Manager can access the sensitive data.

NOTE:
  1. A user with the Test Designer Profile cannot view the sensitive data.
  2. According to GDPR, panellists have the right to access their personal information stored in your system. In case a panellist requests such information, the Panel Manager can download an individual panel export file via Manage Panelists. Click on the highlighted icon under the action column for the download.
