This article explains how relationships work, how to set them up on the Edit Panellist page, and how they appear in the Reward Export. This functionality is meant for panel managers who maintain panellist profiles.
You can link panellists to each other, for example a parent and child, a pet and its owner, or two siblings. Relationships are managed on a new Relationships tab of the Edit Panellist page.
This helps you:
A relationship always links two panellists and describes the link in both directions. For example, if Anna is the owner of Max, the relation is Owner and the reverse relation is Pet. The relationship shows on the Relationships tab of both panellists.
Rule | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Two directions | Each relationship has a relation and a reverse relation, such as Parent / Child, Owner / Pet, Spouse / Spouse, Sibling / Sibling or Guardian / Dependent. |
Optional comment | Add a comment to give context. |
Automatic cleanup | When a panellist is deleted, all of their relationships are deleted too. |
The new relationship appears on the Relationships tab of both panellists.
The Rewards Accounting Export now includes relationship data, so your team can see who a reward is linked to without checking profiles one by one.
I can't find the panellist I want to link. Why? You can only link panellists on your active site. Check that you are on the right site and that both panellists are registered there.
What happens to relationships when I delete a panellist? They are deleted automatically, including when you bulk-delete panellists from Manage Panellists.
