Introduction

Project Groups let you bundle multiple projects behind a single booth link, so panellists can complete several questionnaires in one sitting without needing separate links for each. This guide walks through creating a group. 

Before You Start

• Every project you want in the group must already be deployed. Undeployed projects will not appear in the dropdown.
• You need at least one location and booth set up under Allocate.
• Decide how panellists should move through the group: in a fixed sequence, freely by choice, or in a random order.

Step 1: Create the Group

1. Go to Allocate > Project Groups.
2. Click the plus icon to create a new group.
3. Give the group a name.
4. Choose a project order:
   • Fixed: panellists complete projects one after another in sequence.
   • Free: panellists choose which project to do next.
   • Random: projects are shuffled into a different order for each panellist. See Step 4 for how to lock specific projects in place.
     

Step 2: Add Projects to the Group

1. In the group's edit screen, open the Project dropdown and select a deployed project.
2. Set an alias, the name panellists will see on the start screen.
3. Choose a session if the project requires one.
4. Click the plus icon to add the project to the group.
5. Repeat for each project you want to include.

Step 3: Add Instructions

In the Instruction field, write the message panellists will see before they start. This appears when they open the booth link, ahead of the project selection screen (unless you use Skip Project Selection Step, covered below).

Step 4: Set Up Random Order with Locked Positions 

If you selected Random as the project order, you can still keep specific projects fixed in place, such as a warm-up or screener project that should always run first.

1. In the project list, find the row for the project you want to fix.
2. Use the lock option on that row and set the position it should always occupy.
3. Leave the remaining projects unlocked. These will be shuffled into the open positions for each panellist.
4. Repeat for any other project you want fixed.

Step 5: Turn On Skip Project Selection Step 

Use this setting when panellists should complete every project in the group with no choice involved, such as a Fixed or Random order group. With this toggle on, panellists go straight from the booth link into the first project, then move through the rest automatically, with no selection screen in between.

Step 6: Allocate the Group to a Booth

1. Go back to Allocate.
2. Select your Project Group from the dropdown, in the same way you would select a single project.
3. Choose the session. Use Anonymous if panellists will not log in with credentials.
4. Share the booth link with your panellists, not the individual project deploy links.
