Rewards for Correct Answers Only

Rewards for Correct Answers Only

One way to motivate panellists during a questionnaire is by offering rewards triggered by their correct responses. EyeQuestion allows you to set up such a system, ensuring that only those who answer correctly are eligible for rewards. Here's how it works, illustrated with an example using a Triangle Test questionnaire.

Step 1: Design the Questionnaire
Create a questionnaire that includes questions where a reward is tied to a correct answer. For instance, in a Triangle Test, you may ask participants to answer a "Difference" question.

Step 2: Direct to Correct and Incorrect Screens
After participants complete the questionnaire, you can redirect them based on their answers. Participants who answer the "Difference" question correctly will be sent to a "Correct" screen, while those who answer incorrectly will be directed to an "Incorrect" screen. The logic is simple:
  1. Correct Answer (value of 1): Participant is redirected to the "Correct" screen.
  2. Incorrect Answer (value of 0): Participant is redirected to the "Incorrect" screen.

Step 3: Confirm Reward Eligibility
On the "Correct" screen, add a one-choice question, such as a checkbox, where participants confirm they are eligible for a reward. This serves as the trigger for their reward eligibility.

Step 4: Set Reward Conditions
In the reward settings, designate this checkbox question type as the "Optional Reward Question." Only those who answered the initial question correctly and were redirected to the "Correct" screen will see and interact with this reward confirmation checkbox.

Step 5: Review Eligible Participants
Once the data is collected, navigate to Distribution > Panel > Reward. There, you will be able to see which participants checked the box, confirming they answered the question correctly and are therefore eligible for the reward.
