Workspace: Questionnaire Page

Introduction

The Questionnaire Page in EyeQuestion is an essential tool for building comprehensive and tailored questionnaires for various research needs. This section allows users to create new questions, set up the layout according to their preferences, and structure their questionnaire into distinct sections for optimal flow and data collection.

Structure of the Questionnaire

The left side of the page displays the structure of your questionnaire, divided into three main sections: Start Questions, Design Questions, and End Questions. Each section represents a different stage of your questionnaire, ensuring a logical and coherent flow from beginning to end.

Start Questions Section

The Start Questions section is designed for broad, introductory questions that will be answered first by your panelists. This section may include:
  1. Welcome Screen: A greeting to the participants, setting the stage for the questionnaire.
  2. Directions: Instructions on how to proceed with the questionnaire.
  3. Non-Product-Related Questions: General questions such as age, gender, or other demographic information.

Design Questions Section

This section contains all product-related questions and is influenced by the design of your survey. This means that all the questions included in this section will be repeated in loop according to the design set up.
Key features include:
  1. Product-Specific Questions: Questions that pertain to the products being evaluated.
  2. Sample Management: If your questionnaire involves multiple samples, the same set of questions can be used for each product according to the design rules. There is no need to duplicate questions for each sample.
  3. For projects that do not require product-related questions, such as screeners or demographic surveys, you can create questionnaires without this section by choosing the "From Scratch without Design Template" when starting a new project.

End Questions Section

This section includes questions that appear at the end of the questionnaire. Typical content includes:
  1. Preference Questions
  2. Thank You Messages: Expressions of gratitude to the participants.
  3. Final Comments: Any concluding questions or comments from the panellists.

Adding Screens and Questions

The central part of the screen is where you build the content of your questionnaire by adding screens and questions within each screen. Within this section you also create screen condition. More on this topic can be found in the following article: https://support.eyequestion.nl/portal/en/kb/articles/show-and-hide-specific-part-s-of-a-questionnaire

  1. Adding a Screen: To add a new screen, navigate to the section (Start, Design, or End) where you want to insert the screen and click on "Add Screen". This will allow you to organize your questions into manageable sections.
  1. Adding a Question: To add a question within a screen, select the screen where you want the question to appear, and click on "Add Question". This allows for detailed and specific questioning tailored to your survey needs.

Screen and Question Settings

On the right side of the page, you will find the Screen and Question Settings panel. This area allows you to adjust settings specific to the screen or question you are currently editing.

Options here may include:
  1. Question Type: Select the type of question (e.g., multiple choice, open-ended). For more information read the following aticle: https://support.eyequestion.nl/portal/en/kb/articles/different-question-types-available-in-eyequestion
  2. Settings and Options: Customize the settings related to the question, such as mandatory responses, question logic, and display conditions.
  3. Design Elements: Adjust the visual and structural design of the screen or question.
To access the screen or question settings, simply click on the screen or question name. The right panel will then update with the settings for the selected screen or question.
